Richard launched RMA in early 2012 after years of working for renowned architectural firms Kerry Hill Architects and BVN Donovan Hill as a project director responsible for the design and deliver of multi-residential, higher education, student accommodation and commercial projects.
As an award-winning architect, Richard has been called up to cover major projects from procurement to project completion - overseeing the development of briefs, feasibility analysis and master planning, as well as design and documentation. In 2013 RMA was involved in briefing, designing and documenting a new 8000sqm space along St. Kilda Road for the Cancer Council of Victoria over a 10-week design and documentation period. RMA also delivered a new performing arts theatre and studio in South Melbourne.
Since then Richard and RMA have participated and delivered a broad range and scale of projects, whilst maintaining a focus on residential design and innovation.
Richard’s interest in residential design and affordable housing led him to becoming a judge at the 2013 Australian Institute of Architects National Awards.
Richard is a member of the Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter and maintains a close involvement with the industry’s professional body.
